AMTE Power realises that achieving a just transition from a fossil fuel centric economy to a clean green future will need innovation in energy storage driven by high environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.
Our aim is to facilitate the step changes in transportation and energy storage needed to build a resilient and low carbon economy, while ensuring our supply chain is as clean, green and fair as possible.
At AMTE Power we are committed to doing the right thing, embedding sustainability across our business and excelling in transparency. To accelerate this, we have worked with the battery sustainability supply chain platform Infyos to map our supply chain and identify our material sustainability impacts. This has formed the basis of our sustainability strategy which is built around six pillars.
At AMTE Power we aim to achieve net zero production for our direct (Scope 1) and Indirect (Scope 2) greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030. In 2022 we will conduct a thorough Scope 1 and 2 GHG inventory. We will then aim to measure our indirect Scope 3 emissions through our value chain and work to minimise Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
We will achieve net zero production for Scopes 1 and 2 by 2030 and a verified net zero value chain by 2040.
As we scale up we recognise we have influence through our purchasing power. We are committed to understanding the impact of our raw materials on the environment and communities and to continually improve our sourcing to make responsible purchasing possible for our customers. To enable this in 2022 we engaged supply chain platform Infyos to help map our value chain and sustainability impacts to facilitate responsible sourcing.
We will accelerate sustainable development through responsible sourcing across our supply chain.
We are working in partnership with battery recyclers to ensure our products can not only be dismantled responsibly at the end of their life, but can provide recycled feedstock for new batteries, minimising virgin resource extraction.
We will design our products to contribute to a resilient and circular economy.
Our people are our most important asset and their health, safety and wellbeing is our number one priority.
We will create high quality green jobs with healthy, safe and happy employees.
At AMTE Power we strive to be open and honest about the environmental and social impacts of our operations and supply chain. We are committed to continually monitoring and improving our ESG performance across the value chain and avoiding greenwash.
We will establish robust governance, reporting and data sharing both for our own operations and through our supply chain.
We strive to be industry leaders in environmental, social and governance action in energy storage to be part of the solution to the climate and biodiversity crisis.
We will actively engage with customers, suppliers, financiers and concerned stakeholders to continually improve our own and the industry’s ESG performance.
